An agency built around what makes a restaurant worth coming back to.

Tabula is an independent design studio for restaurants that are growing, evolving or simply ready for a refresh.

We believe the best changes don’t start by replacing what’s already there. They start by understanding what people already love about the restaurant — its character, its story and the details that make it feel like itself — then building on those strengths with intention.

A woman with dark hair, wearing a black halter top and jewelry, sitting at a wooden table in a cozy, warmly lit indoor setting with plants and warm light bulbs, looking at a tablet that displays seating charts.
Two glasses of vibrant red cocktails garnished with orange slices and sprigs of rosemary on a dark green tablecloth surrounded by blood orange slices, a blood orange half, a strainer, and bottles of gin.

Why independent restaurants?

THERE IS ALREADY SOMETHING VALUABLE HERE

Independent restaurants are shaped over time. The dishes people return for, the way guests are welcomed, the objects that become familiar and the little details people remember all become part of what makes the place special.

As the business grows or changes, those qualities can become harder to carry through every part of the experience.

We believe the next stage should build on that character, not erase it.

A new agency.

An experienced team.

DIFFERENT DISCIPLINES.
ONE POINT OF VIEW.

The Tabula Team

We’re a multidisciplinary team of creatives, designers and project managers who are drawn to the little details that make an experience feel special. We love spaces and brands that are expressive but intentional, thoughtful without feeling overworked.

Our backgrounds span graphic design, illustration, visual merchandising, user experience, technology, sourcing, product development and spatial design. That mix helps us look at a restaurant as a whole, connect the details, and shape each project around what will have the most impact.

Sabina Acosta

Sabina brings a trained eye for spaces, objects, merchandising and the details that make people stop and look twice. Her background spans visual merchandising and buying for brands including Macy’s, COS and GILT, as well as spatial concept work for The Boca Raton.

As a buyer and vintage dealer, she has a particular instinct for finding unexpected objects, seeing potential where others might not and turning ordinary details into memorable parts of an experience.

Daniel works at the intersection of design and technology. His background spans graphic design, user experience, digital products and websites, with a particular interest in design systems, AI and tools that make businesses clearer and easier to operate.

He also brings the technical attention needed to move ideas from screen to production — making sure information, specifications and digital experiences work beyond the presentation.

HOW THE TEAM EXPANDS

Additionally to our core team we have a trusted network of creatives that includes illustrators with different visual styles, spatial and 3D designers for concepts and renderings, and experienced hospitality sourcing partners.

We also work with a hospitality supplier with more than 20 years of experience sourcing tabletop, glassware, linens, service pieces, and other operational details across a range of budgets. This gives us the flexibility to bring together the right mix of creative, technical, spatial, and sourcing expertise for each restaurant.

Brands our team has worked with

A NEW AGENCY BUT WITH AN EXPERIENCED TEAM

Tabula is a new studio built by an experienced team. Before coming together here, we worked across hospitality, retail, design and digital projects for brands like these — experience that now shapes how we approach every Tabula project.
